As you counsel an individual or family, reflect on this Formula for Change. Think of the best way to proceed for this individual, couple, or family and Establish an Action Plan.


 Formula for Change

Maturity = (God's will)  X  (Freewill)  X  (Faith)
God's will = revealed + concealed + common sense 

Change = (Commitment)  X  (Capacity)
Commitment = time + energy + cost

The key or goal for healthy problem solving: 
Understanding the psychological and the spiritual linkage of the God/man relationship and the ability for individuals to apply it effectively in their own lives and the lives of others.

The two extreme approaches to problem solving:
A. Over-spiritualizing God's power, Word, and Presence
B. Replacing Gods power and presence with the human will and power
